2019 is already proving to be a fantastic season for snow play in Yosemite National Park. Don't miss out! The Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area (traditionally known as Badger Pass) is perfect for families and beginners.
And it is affordable too! Typical prices for downhill skiing are less than $100 for lift ticket, equipment rental plus 2 (TWO) lessons. For cross country, it is less than $30 for equipment rental. There's even a tubing hill too!
Plus, Glacier Point Road (closed to vehicle traffic for the season) offers miles of maintained trails for cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, and guided walks. For the really adventurous you can arrange to ski to and spend the night in remote ski huts at Glacier Point or Ostrander Lake.
Ski classes are small, and staff are friendly and energetic. Most of the downhill slopes are beginner or intermediate, with a few slopes to challenge the more experienced. If you are teaching children, looking to improve your technique, or just want to enjoy the slopes, this is the place to go. There is rarely a crowd either on the slopes or at the lifts.
And of course all of this is in Magnifcent Yosemite National Park. Enjoying winter fun in the Great Outdoors doesn't get any better than this!
