Casteyre is set in 10 acres of land, deep in the heart of the unspoilt Gers countryside, it is situated on the ancient pilgrims' Compostella route. This is a region of Gascony, a land steeped in history, rich in mystical emotion and known for its superb light and good living.
The farmhouse was built in the early 18th century, and was originally three sheep folds, or 'bergeries', with a farmer's cottage close by, all in the traditional Gascon style. Thanks to its charming and clever conversion, it now retains its authentic old character together with the comforts and conveniences of modern living.
